Women

Sheffield Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service (SWCTS) is a specialist service providing free, confidential counselling and therapy services for women in Sheffield who have experienced abuse or trauma.

Services are available for women and girls in Sheffield aged 16 and over. SWCTS provides discreet and welcoming centres offering a safe, quiet, and comfortable space to work with a counsellor or therapist to explore the impact that abuse and trauma has had on your life.

While the main focus is on one-to-one individual therapy, SWCTS also offers therapeutic group work, most frequently in a 10 week format, and sometimes as a shorter 4 to 6 week course.

Women who, for whatever reason, have found it difficult to access other services are particularly encouraged to use SWCTS’s service.
